Brainy Barker (New 52)

This is a re-design of Brainy Barker from the animated series "Krypto the Superdog". I had the New 52 (2011 reboot of DC Comics) in mind when I made this picture, since I figure that a new continuity means more possibilities for characters. As such, I've also taken liberties with her backstory to fit the reboot.

Here's a short bio that I wrote to accompany this picture:

"Brainy Barker is an extraterrestrial Saluki dog from the planet Colu. She has an IQ of 1,200+, and is capable of advanced telepathy, telekinesis, and other psychic abilities. Brainy can project three-dimensional images with her mind, levitate objects at will, and speak to humans and similar species with telepathy. Using cybernetic implants installed in her head, she can mentally connect to computer systems and tap into radio frequencies.

She currently resides on Earth in Jump City. Her secret identity is Almond, the pet Saluki of college football player Jason Hart (who in turn is the Protector, an anti-drug superhero)."

The original character belongs to Warner Bros. and DC Comics.
